Central Middle School

We hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall break! See you Thursday, Wildcats!

We would like to begin our fall break weekend by sending out a huge congratulations to our 2026-27 CMS Student of the Year Nominees: Evangeline A., Evelyn B., Ruby B., Chloe C., Saydee E., Paris F., Dawson H., Jolie K., Seth N., Maxwell P., Parker R., Kinsley S., and Charlee W. This incredible group of young men and women exemplify the Wildcat Way and the heart of Central each and every day. We would also like to send a special congratulations and good luck wishes to our three finalists- Evie, Jolie, and Seth- as they move on to the next round of competition.

Congratulations to our CMS Boys and Girls Soccer Teams!

Reminder- Fall Break is next week!
We hope you enjoy a few extra days off!

Any student who was absent for our original yearbook photo day OR who needs a re-take should be prepared to take their photo on Thursday, October 15! **Students who took a photo but want to re-take for the yearbook should have their parent/guardian email Ms. Laperouse (alaperouse@centralcss.org) prior to 10/15 OR bring a note from home on that day.**

Don't forget- today is the LAST DAY for CMS Canes Night. Any students who have their receipt from Monday-Wednesday may free dress TOMORROW by turning their receipt in to homeroom.

It's never too early to start planning your attire for Red Ribbon Week! Here are our CMS theme days for 2026!

A busy, full week as we end the 1st 9 Weeks grading period! Fall break is so close, we can almost smell the pumpkin spice! Let’s have a great week, Wildcats!

Congratulations to our CMS Support Worker of the Year, Mrs. Traci Toney!

We are so grateful for all you do each and every day! Our CMS family is better because of you!

CMS families,
We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming trip to Central Europe in Summer 2028, and your student is invited! This life-changing experience will help students build confidence, independence, and global perspective.
We’re holding a one-time informational meeting to share everything you need to know—and spots on this trip are limited:

Save the Date! Next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, CMS is partnering with our local Raising Canes for a fundraiser! Mention CMS at the register, and our school will receive 15% of sales.

Save your receipt from these three nights (4-9pm only), and turn in to your homeroom teacher next Thursday, October 8 for a free dress day!

We are ready for another great week at CMS!

We are excited to host our annual Fall Dance tonight! Please see the attached graphics for a few reminders and details!

We are excited to recognize Mrs. Havenar as our August Teacher of the Month. Although she may be new to our Wildcat family this year, Mrs. Havenar has stepped into her role here with enthusiasm and dedication. We are so thankful she is here at CMS! See less

Don't forget about yearbook photos tomorrow!

We wanted to clarify a few details ahead of yearbook photos next week.

On Monday, Mr. Eric Frank will be on campus to take yearbook photos of all CMS students during their PE hour. (Don't worry... any students without a PE class will be accounted for as well!)

For yearbook photos, all students MUST wear their regular school uniform.

Because Monday is normally a spirit shirt day, we will move spirit shirts to Tuesday, September 22. This change to Tuesday is for next week only!

CMS Yearbooks are ON SALE NOW! Order yours today ($35) through the Josten's site- jostens.com/bts/1068964 . Don't delay- the price will increase on October 16!

Save the date! Yearbook photos NEXT Monday!

CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026-2027 Central Middle School Teacher of the Year Nominees, but especially our winner Mrs. Lindsey Campbell!
